I am a Software Engineer at Google DeepMind working on Large Language Models. I’m fortunate to have been at Google through the golden age of Language Models, and got to work closely with every generation of models – Transformer, BERT, T5, PaLM, and now Gemini.

In a previous life, I worked on ranking various things (videos at Facebook, tweets at Twitter).

Before moving to the Bay Area, I worked on applied NLP in the CS PhD program at Cornell, which I discontinued with an MS. Before that, I was a CSE undergraduate at IIT Madras in India, where I was generously supported by the Aditya Birla Scholarship and OPJEMS.
